Learning Support Specialist SEMH Lewisham

A compassionate Behaviour Mentor is required to provide essential support to students with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a dedicated secondary school in Lewisham.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping young people manage and overcome behavioural challenges, fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to help students manage behaviours that impact their learning, improve social skills, and build self-confidence.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and teaching staff to design and adjust personalized interventions, creating a stable inclusive environment for student growth.
- Observe and assess students' progress, contributing to reports and feedback that inform future support and behavioural strategies.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience supporting students with SEMH needs in an educational or related setting.
- A positive patient attitude with excellent communication and empathy skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt behaviour plans as students' needs evolve.
The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
