Senior Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our Staff Psychology Service. This role will provide a range of psychological interventions and support to staff across the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital sites.
The Staff Psychology Service is a newly launched initiative that aims to provide evidence-based psychological help and interventions to staff, enabling them to manage the emotional impact of working in the NHS. The service offers a range of interventions, including psychological therapy, consultation, and formulation, as well as psychological debriefing and bespoke training.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Lead and Principal Psychologists within the team, providing individual psychological therapy, consultation, and psychological debriefs, as well as contributing to work at team and organisational levels. This role offers numerous opportunities to work jointly with colleagues in the Staff Psychology Service and across the trust.
Main Duties of the Job- To provide highly specialist psychological assessment and formulation for teams and staff members.
- To provide a range of psychological interventions, including individual therapy, consultation, and psychological debriefing.
- To work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver bespoke interventions and resources.
- To maintain an awareness of the impact of challenges at an individual or team level on the provision of safe and good quality clinical care, reporting all concerns through the appropriate channels while taking all reasonable steps to maintain client confidentiality.
- To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients and provide highly specialist advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management.

The Staff Psychology Service is comprised of applied psychologists, a counsellor, and administrative support, and the successful candidate will report to the Lead for the Staff Psychology Service.
