About the Role
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Applied Psychologist to join our Staff Psychology Service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing psychological support to our staff, helping them to manage the emotional impact of working in the NHS.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide highly specialist psychological assessment and formulation for teams and staff members.
- Develop and deliver bespoke interventions and resources to support staff wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to identify needs across clinical and non-clinical areas.
- Contribute to the development of proactive initiatives, such as reflective practice and supervision.
- Engage with clients and work effectively in highly distressing and challenging circumstances.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with post-graduate doctoral level training in applied Psychology, HCPC registration as an Applied Psychologist, and evidence of continuing professional development. Experience of working in an Acute Hospital setting and risk assessment and risk management are also essential.
