Our client is a large-scale manufacturing and distribution organization based in Wolverhampton, employing a diverse team of professionals in various roles across the business.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and processing invoices and expense forms, reconciling accounts payable transactions, and ensuring accurate payment of invoices.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and process invoices and expense forms
* Reconcile accounts payable transactions
* Reconcile supplier statements monthly, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors
* Disburse payments to vendors and track expenses
* Assist in month-end closing
* Prepare reports detailing accounts payable status
* Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Requirements
* Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
* Fast-paced high-volume experience (100 per day minimum)
* Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (spreadsheet, pivot tables, and Vlookups)
* Knowledge of general accounting principles
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
