Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team in Europe. This key position will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager and will be responsible for processing incoming invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming invoices, including data entry, assignment to approvers, research, and resolution of errors, and posting/matching invoices
- Ensure payments are posted and allocated in a timely manner
- Collect and maintain accurate documentation for pro-forma payments
- Maintain Direct Debit schedules and relevant postings
- Develop and maintain a robust supplier statement reconciliation process
- Manage the invoice approval and authorization process to ensure timely and compliant approvals
- Calculate month-end AP accruals
- Reconcile intercompany AP invoices, including intercompany recharges
- Assist the finance team with sample evidence preparation for audits
- Support AP processing across the UK sites via our ERP system
- Participate in annual ABL site and desk audits, reporting to Divisional finance
- Provide holiday cover for the AP role across the division
- Perform other ad hoc duties as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in accounts payable within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet targets and deadlines, working with minimal supervision
- Accurate numerical data processing skills, with a problem-solving attitude and proficiency in Excel
