In this role, you will be working as a mental health advocate, supporting children who have special education needs and require assistance with their mental health and wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of psychological theories and practices, with the ability to apply them in a real-world setting.

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team at Academics school in Hailsham, where you will work with children aged 4-16 who require support with their mental health and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will work closely with children who have experienced trauma or neglect, exhibiting challenging behaviour, ADHD or Autism, and developed mental health issues due to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to children with mental health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with therapists to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Cultivate a supportive environment that promotes the wellbeing of all children.
  • Contribute to the development of new programmes and initiatives to support children's mental health.
  • Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Estimated Salary: £30,000 per annum, based on national averages for a similar position in the UK.
