About the Role:

We are recruiting for a Mental Health Assistant to join our Academics team. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support to children with complex mental health needs. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health, child development, or a related field, and be passionate about supporting children who have experienced trauma, neglect, or other adverse childhood experiences. You will work collaboratively with the class teacher and other members of the team to develop personalized support plans, engage children in activities that promote their well-being, and contribute to the creation of a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to children with mental health needs
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to develop and implement support plans
  • Engage children in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and mental well-being
