Business Development Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales pipeline, updating sales metrics, and providing customer support. Key responsibilities include:
- Management of the sales pipeline (bid/no-bid tracker) with projects in and out and specific customer feedback.
- Updating of sales metrics in conjunction with the Commercial Manager.
- Competent with customer portals (such as Ivalua) in terms of extracting proposals, managing them, and uploading responses back in.
- Capable of researching target customers and finding ways into their buying functions in conjunction with the agreed sales plans.
- Project management of customer projects into the business including link calls and feedback on progress.
- Sales pitches to new and existing customers.
- Basic commercial cover on pricing updates, Schedule Agreement Process, and Pricebook updates.
- Customer and internal problem-solving.
- Advanced Excel skills to support price review, testing, and negotiation preparation.
- Customer negotiation support, scenario planning, and deal closing in conjunction with the Commercial Manager.
- Joint ownership of the Customer on-boarding matrix.
- Ownership of key customer accounts.
- Liaison with different company departments to resolve customer issues and promote satisfaction.
- Route of escalation for un-resolved customer issues.
- Previous experience of working to aerospace standards.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrates good teamwork but should also be capable of working individually.
- Is self-driven with a positive outlook.
- Has good communication skills.
