Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Clinical Engineering team as a Medical Equipment Management Specialist. You will be responsible for planning and carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance, servicing, non-routine repair, calibration, safety and acceptance testing on a wide range of medical equipment.

Main Duties

You will work to high standards of safety and accountability, managing a team and overseeing communications with customers and suppliers. You will be a senior on-site representative of Biomedical Engineering, working in the main hospital but may be expected to travel to external sites.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have extensive practical experience in Medical engineering workshop practices and techniques, with experience of medical management/maintenance of electro medical equipment. They will also have broad and specialised knowledge of a wide range of medical equipment, including Infusion Devices, Defibrillators, Point of Care Analysers, Dental equipment, Audiology equipment etc.

Key Skills

The ideal candidate will have highly developed physical skills, including manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for fine adjustment of life critical settings. They will also have a logical approach to problem-solving and experience of motivating and leading teams effectively.

What We Offer

University College London Hospital offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, annual leave, and training opportunities.
