About Us
Melbourne Day Nursery is a childcare provider that offers a welcoming and cosy atmosphere for children. We are committed to providing high-quality care and education, and we are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our team.

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated individual who can provide leadership and guidance to our nursery staff. The successful candidate will have a minimum of Level 3 qualification and experience in early years education. They will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained, including the implementation of policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Providing high-quality care and early years learning experiences for children;
  • Liasing with parents and carers to ensure effective communication and collaboration;
  • Deputising for the Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager in their absence;
  • Ensuring that all nursery policies and procedures are upheld, including health and safety, confidentiality, and safeguarding.

Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of early years education principles. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and have a minimum of Level 3 qualification in childcare or a related field. Additionally, they will be expected to participate in ongoing professional development and training to maintain their knowledge and skills.

About the Role
This is a permanent full-time position offering a competitive salary of £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends, to support the needs of the nursery.
