We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Practitioner to join our team at Melbourne Day Nursery.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a leadership role and contribute to the growth and development of our nursery. As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and early years learning experiences for children, while also leading and supporting other staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide exceptional care and education to children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • To lead and support the team in delivering high standards of care and education, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • To deputise for the Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager in their absence, taking charge of the nursery and ensuring its smooth operation.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of Level 3 qualified in childcare or a related field.
  • Experience in a leadership role or ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.
  • Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and Safeguarding procedures.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
