**Job Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Strategist to join our team at Co-op Academies Trust. As a key member of our HR function, you will play a critical role in shaping the human resources strategy across our academies in Bradford and Leeds.

**Responsibilities:**

Your primary focus will be on providing expert HR advice and support to our senior leadership teams, driving school improvement and culture change through proactive HR practices. You will lead on-site HR colleagues to ensure excellent HR practice within the academies and work closely with the Regional Director, Executive Headteachers, and Headteachers to review each academy's HR strategy.

You will be responsible for managing complex employee relations cases and trade union relations, facilitating organisational development, and upskilling line managers in HR management practice.

**Requirements:**

To succeed in this role, you must have depth and breadth of experience advising and delivering on a wide range of employee issues, including absence management, recruitment and retention, and highly complex casework, within the public sector.

You should be a CIPD qualified practitioner with great organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive work forward on your own initiative.

**Benefits:**

We offer a competitive salary of **£45,500 - £52,000**, 31 days annual leave, hybrid / flexible working, CIPD membership fees paid, Local government pension scheme, co-op staff discount and other benefits, and 24/7 Employee Support.

**Working Arrangements:**

This is a full-time role based mainly in the Bradford / Leeds area, with occasional travel to other academies required. Own transport is desirable, and a willingness to travel and work flexibly (with due notice) is essential.
