Job Title: Strategic Energy Partnership Delivery Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the Strategic Energy Partnership Delivery Manager. This is a fixed-term role for 18-22 months, subject to funding and programme extensions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will lead a team to deliver the innovative DESNZ funded project, working closely with local authority partners, including City of York Council and the York & North Yorkshire Combined Authority. The project will be delivered through a blend of in-house capacity and consultancy support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-depth support to develop and deliver net zero projects, including business case development;
  • Provide net zero policy expertise to shape investment models, policy, programmes, and projects;
  • Develop approaches and models to harness both public and private sector investment to enable the delivery of net zero projects and programmes;
  • Support collaboration and knowledge-sharing activities across a range of partners.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a degree-level or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, with specialist knowledge around net zero, climate change, renewable energy, policies, and public-private partnership models. They will have in-depth knowledge of public sector levers and best practice solutions to support decarbonisation of estates and city/regional economies.
