We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to join our team at Utility People. As a key member of our commercial energy consultancy, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and developing strategic relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development: Meet with new clients to sell a range of energy procurement, reduction, and management strategies.
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain a solid client base with specific requirements for utility services.
  • Account Management: Deliver exceptional customer service and manage client relationships to the highest standards.
  • Sales Performance: Meet and exceed sales targets in accordance with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Marketing and Branding: Prepare and deliver client seminars and presentations, and provide marketing input and branding opportunities.
  • Industry Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the energy industry and competitor intelligence.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Five years of experience in the energy industry, with a strong background in flexible energy procurement contracts.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, marketing, energy management).
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in energy management or sales and marketing.
