Strategic Energy Partnership Delivery Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Strategic Energy Partnership Delivery Manager role, focusing on developing and delivering a transformative programme to establish a strategic energy partnership model for York and North Yorkshire.
About the RoleThis is a fixed-term position for 18-22 months, subject to funding and programme extensions. You will be responsible for leading a team to deliver the DESNZ-funded Local Net Zero Accelerator Programme, working closely with local authority partners, including City of York Council and the York & North Yorkshire Combined Authority.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver net zero projects, including business case development and policy expertise to shape investment models, policy, programmes, and projects.
- Develop approaches and models to harness both public and private sector investment to enable the delivery of net zero projects and programmes.
- Support collaboration and knowledge-sharing activities across a range of partners.
You will hold a degree-level or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, with specialist knowledge around net zero, climate change, renewable energy, policies, and public-private partnership models. You will have in-depth knowledge of public sector levers and best practice solutions to support decarbonisation of estates and city/regional economies.
