Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President of Business Development to lead our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing our strategic business development plan, identifying and pursuing new partnerships, alliances, and licensing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy & Positioning – Out-licensing
    • Develop a comprehensive business development strategy and roadmap to maximize the value of our intellectual property.
    • Expand our network of potential partners and collaborators in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare industries.
    • Position Adaptimmune as a leader in the field of T cell therapy through active engagement in industry forums and events.
  • External Evaluation and In-licensing
    • Conduct thorough market research to identify promising new technologies and therapeutic areas that align with our strategic goals.
    • Evaluate potential in-licensing opportunities, conducting due diligence and competitive analysis to assess their value and fit within Adaptimmune's portfolio.
    • Develop and execute a plan for securing strategic partnerships that will accelerate the development and commercialization of our therapies.
  • Execution & Line/Team/External Provider Management
    • Lead and mentor a high-performing business development team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
    • Prepare compelling internal proposals and presentations to secure support for strategic initiatives.
    • Manage relationships with external partners and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the process.
