About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Plant Construction & Commissioning Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our Nuclear New Build business, you will play a critical role in supporting major stakeholders in the nuclear sector during the construction phase of new nuclear power stations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support to clients during the construction, commissioning, and startup phases of new nuclear power stations.
  • Develop and deliver design analysis in support of construction changes, with a focus on equipment engineering (mechanical, piping, HVAC, electrical, and I&C).
  • Work closely with clients to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations, maintaining a strong safety culture commensurate with nuclear and high-hazard industry standards.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of experts to develop and implement strategies for growing and deploying capable staff as clients' projects progress from construction through commissioning and pre-operations into operations.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in construction or operational support activities, including operational roles and/or operational support roles at operational nuclear power plants (ideally PWR technology plants) or other highly regulated industries.
  • Credible safety-conscious professional with behaviors and competencies that support a strong safety and delivery culture.
  • Experience in the construction, commissioning, pre-operational, or operational environments, with a strategic awareness of international best practice and operational focus.
  • Ability to travel and work from client sites as required, with a willingness to adapt to changing project needs.
