About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Plant Construction & Commissioning Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our Nuclear New Build business, you will play a critical role in supporting major stakeholders in the nuclear sector during the construction phase of new nuclear power stations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide design analysis and engineering support to clients during the construction and commissioning phases of new nuclear power stations.
  • Develop and deliver a pipeline of work to support the growth and deployment of capable staff as clients' projects move from construction through commissioning and pre-operations into operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations, maintaining a strong safety culture commensurate with nuclear and high-hazard industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects that meet international best practices and operational focus.
  • Travel and work from client sites as required, with a focus on supporting clients during commissioning and start-up activities.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in construction or operational support activities, including operational roles and/or operational support roles at operational nuclear power plants.
  • Credible safety-conscious professional with behaviors and competencies that support a strong safety and delivery culture.
  • Experience in the construction, commissioning, pre-operational, or operational environments with a strategic awareness of international best practice and operational focus.
  • Ability to apply a mixture of technical and operational expertise to develop the right skills in our teams to support clients in the latter stages of major nuclear new build projects and into the operational phases.
