Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Triage Officer to join our Housing Solutions team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for responding to queries from individuals at risk of homelessness, providing advice, and negotiating with private landlords to resolve issues.

You will work closely with case officers to provide housing solutions, respond to repeat queries, and ensure customers receive scheduled appointments. Your highly organized approach will involve drafting decision letters, inputting customer data, and providing a friendly, customer-focused service.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and contribute to the council's mission to promote equality and respect diversity.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Lettings, Homelessness, and Housing Act legislation
  • Experience of providing an advice service to the public
  • Ability to listen and stand up for others
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
