About the Role:



We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Visiting Officer to join our Housing Solutions team at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. As a Visiting Officer, you will play a vital role in preventing homelessness by visiting individuals at risk and providing them with the necessary support and advice.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Visit individuals at risk of homelessness to assess their needs and provide support and advice
  • Conduct dynamic risk assessments of homes to identify potential safety issues
  • Work with colleagues to develop and implement effective solutions to prevent homelessness
  • Collaborate with local agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive support to individuals
  • Maintain accurate records of visits and support provided
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of housing solutions and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017


Requirements:



To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • Knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and housing solutions
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting residents to sustain their tenancies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
