Estimated Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 per annum, plus a competitive Distant Islands Allowance of £2,000 (pro rata for part-time posts).

The Role

We are seeking experienced and motivated teachers to join our team as Full-Time Science and Gaelic Educators. As a member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to students, assessing their progress, and contributing to the development of our curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach science and Gaelic subjects to students at secondary and primary levels
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Assess student progress, provide feedback, and contribute to school planning
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental goals

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Hold a valid teaching certificate from the General Teaching Council Scotland
  • Have experience in teaching science and/or Gaelic subjects
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Show a commitment to ongoing professional development
