About the Role

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is seeking a qualified and experienced Gaelic Medium Nursery Key Worker to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for an individual who can plan and deliver a curriculum that supports children's learning and development in a Gaelic medium setting. The successful candidate will have experience working with young children and their families in an early years setting, as well as excellent communication skills in both Gaelic and English.

Key Responsibilities
  • To plan and deliver a curriculum that meets the needs of all children in the nursery, taking into account their individual learning styles and abilities.
  • To work closely with other professionals to ensure seamless transitions and support for children and their families.
  • To maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, including assessments and observations.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of working with young children and their families in an early years setting.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Gaelic and English, with the ability to read, write and speak fluently.
  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a positive attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
