Overview:

Safehands Recruitment is seeking an experienced Deputy Home Manager to join our team of professionals at a leading children and young people's care provider.

The service is based in Wolverhampton and provides a safe and loving home for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties or who display challenging behaviour.

The Role:

  • You will be part of a caring team that delivers high-quality care services and strategic planning for developments within the home.
  • As a Deputy Home Manager, you will lead your team, working alongside other professionals to provide therapeutic care and support to each individual child, focusing on achieving the best possible outcomes.
  • You will act as a positive role model to colleagues and children, meeting their everyday living needs and developing trusting relationships that promote recovery, growth, and lasting change.
  • Your responsibilities will also include supervising and mentoring staff, organising work patterns, facilitating care-focused training, and accessing appropriate services to support childcare practices within the home.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a residential children's home environment
  • NVQ Level 3 in caring for children and young people/children's residential workforce
  • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures
  • A full driving licence is essential

Salary & Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £33,000 - £37,000 per annum, plus enhanced pay scales recognising both qualifications and experience.
