Job Title: Registered Children's Home Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to join our team at Swyft Recruitment. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the effective running of our client's BRAND NEW home in the Wolverhampton area on a full-time, permanent basis.



The ideal candidate will have a true passion for care and working with children, with a Level 5 in Leadership & Management, or working towards this. They should also have at least 2 years of experience in children's social care, with at least one year at a supervisory level.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Developing, mentoring and leading a vibrant and enthusiastic care team.
  • Responsible for the effective day-to-day running of the home and the delivery of all care services, as well as the strategic planning for developments within the home and all day-to-day management matters.
  • Deliver the organisation's vision and values and best possible childcare to the children in the service.
  • Build internal and external relationships with service users, families, staff, agencies, partners, and commissioners.


Requirements:


  • Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or working towards this
  • A true passion for care and working with children
  • REQUIRED 2 years in last 5 in children's social care and at least a year of this at a supervisory level.
  • Experience of working in a similar (Ofsted)
  • Supervision or management experience
  • Worked in a Children's residential setting
  • Experience of working with people with severe autism and/or learning disabilities.
  • Confident meeting and exceeding Ofsted guidelines.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS and on the update service ideally.
