Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Administrative Support Officer to join our dynamic team in the Oncology and Haematology department at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage generic team mailboxes and process incoming referrals and booking appointments in line with agreed processes.
  • Administer administrative processes associated with outpatient clinics/referrals/inpatient referrals as required.
  • Type general correspondence/dictated correspondence, clinic letters, discharge summaries in line with guidelines.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining efficient electronic and manual filing systems, including sorting and collating patient results into relevant hospital notes.
  • Maintain electronically stored patient information on spreadsheets or databases for audit and patient management purposes.
  • Ensure adequate stationery supplies.
Requirements
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Audiotyping qualification.
  • Word processing skills to RSA II or equivalent.
  • Excellent administrative and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a pressurized environment.
Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £24,907 per annum.
