Research Compliance Coordinator

Reporting to the Director of Research Compliance, the Research Compliance Coordinator serves as a liaison to the University's IACUC and IBC, providing programmatic support to each committee. The coordinator facilitates faculty submission of materials to these committees, coordinates interactions between committees and government agencies, and performs initial review of submitted materials.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain a protocol tracking database, ensuring accuracy of records
- Complete post-approval monitoring audits of IACUC and IBC protocols
- Provide content for the compliance web pages
- Support the routine function of the committees by coordinating meetings, preparing meeting minutes and agendas, and informing faculty of the status of pending research protocols
- Master's degree in a related field or bachelor's degree with related experience equivalent to a master's degree
- General knowledge of federal regulations related to the conduct of university-based, human subjects research
- Ability to analyze written material and apply what is learned to an analysis of current University policy and/or a review of a pending proposal
- Ability to coordinate meetings, prepare professional correspondence, and use computer software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form with a range of audiences
- Some experience in a research or other technical environment
- Some experience working in a university environment
- Some experience as an administrator in a research or other technical environment
- Certified IRB Professional (CIP) is preferred
