Athletic Compliance Coordinator

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking an Athletic Compliance Coordinator to become an integral part of our Athletic Department. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for assessing academic qualifications and ensuring adherence to NCAA standards.
- Assess academic transcripts and degree evaluations for student-athletes.
- Prepare eligibility certification documentation for athletic teams.
- Track the eligibility status of new student-athletes through the NCAA Eligibility Center.
- Maintain comprehensive academic records for student-athletes using Compliance Assistant.
- Support roster management and eligibility reporting processes.
- Engage with compliance personnel and the NCAA Eligibility Center.
- Assist in refining procedures to comply with NCAA guidelines.
- Perform various functions related to the Registrar's office.
- Contribute to initiatives regarding Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL).
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- At least two years of experience in Division I compliance or athletics administration is required.
- Ideal candidates will possess excellent organizational and communication abilities, a keen attention to detail, and the capacity to handle sensitive information.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is necessary.
Desirable Qualifications:
- A Master's degree is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of NCAA Bylaw 14 is advantageous.
