Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Personal Assistant to provide high-quality administrative services to clinicians in the EAU department at ESNEFT, based at the Colchester site.

Main Duties

You will be responsible for working independently and in a team to provide a full range of secretarial and administrative support, requiring high organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.

Your duties will include audio typing using the digital dictation system, monitoring of patients on an active cancer pathway, post-cancer treatment, communicating with the wider clinical and administration teams, and dealing with telephone and email enquiries.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications

  • Secretarial/typing/Audio typing qualification or equivalent experience.
  • GCSEs A to C in Maths and English.

Desirable Qualifications

  • RSA III.
  • AMSPAR.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Highly experienced and motivated medical secretary.
  • Experience working in the NHS in an administrative role.
