Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our Children's Home in Selby. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support are delivered to our young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Comprehensive Care Plans: Work closely with our care teams to create tailored care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each young person.
  • Lead a High-Performing Team: Recruit, train, and develop a skilled and dedicated team of care professionals who share our commitment to delivering exceptional care.
  • Foster Positive Relationships: Build strong relationships with our young people, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and their voices are heard.
  • Maintain High Standards: Ensure our home meets the highest standards of care and compliance, and that our young people receive the best possible support and care.
  • Manage Complaints and Concerns: Handle any complaints or concerns in a fair and transparent manner, and work to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with other professionals, including social workers, therapists, and educators, to ensure our young people receive comprehensive support and care.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a residential care setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential, and Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Skills: Efficient planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership skills.
  • Communication: Confidence in effective spoken and written communication.
  • Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license required.
