We are looking for a Child Development Coordinator to join our team at Service Care Solutions, working within the Cheshire East Council on a 3-month contract. As a skilled professional, you will undertake statutory assessments and develop Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP) across the Local Authority for Children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Your key responsibilities will include maintaining a caseload of children with EHCPs, attending annual reviews, and making necessary changes to plans. You will also coordinate a person-centred, outcome-focused multi-agency approach to assessment, planning, and support, ensuring young people and parents are treated as equal partners in the EHCP process.

About the Role:
  • Act as the key worker for children and young people requiring SEND needs assessment and/or EHCP
  • Serve as the Named Officer and primary contact for named settings, schools, colleges, and specialist institutions attended by SEND children and young people
  • Meet with children, young people, parents, and carers to resolve SEND support issues
  • Direct families to advocacy services as needed

Qualifications required include a graduate level qualification or equivalent in a relevant field, such as Education or Social Work. You must also have extensive experience working with young people with SEND.

Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
