Inclusive Education Coordinator

We are seeking an Inclusive Education Coordinator to join our team at Service Care Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our SEND support team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that children with special educational needs receive the best possible support.

About the Role:

The Inclusive Education Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating assessments, planning, and support for children with SEND, working collaboratively with multi-agency teams. This will involve meeting with families to discuss and resolve SEND support decisions, providing guidance on independent advice and advocacy as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate assessments, planning, and support for children with SEND, working collaboratively with multi-agency teams.
  • Meet with families to discuss and resolve SEND support decisions, providing guidance on independent advice and advocacy as needed.
  • Support the development of inclusive approaches, advising families on informed choices about special educational needs support.
  • Represent the Local Authority in mediation and appeals, including First Tier Tribunal (SEN and Disability).
  • Track progress and outcomes of commissioned provision for children, ensuring achievement of agreed outcomes.
  • Ensure resources for SEND support and EHCPs are allocated, monitored, and reviewed, including guidance on personal budgets and outcome measures for reporting progress.
Requirements:
  • Extended experience in early years, school, college, Local Authority, health, or independent settings in relation to children and young people with special educational needs and disability.
  • Effective working with families or young people, with a strong understanding of their needs and requirements.
  • Excellent multi-agency working skills, including Statutory Assessment (SEND, Child Protection etc.).
  • Reviewing, monitoring, and evaluating performance against agreed targets.
  • Working with and delivering support/careers guidance/advisory services to children/young people and their parents.
  • Effective up-to-date theory and practice in the field of special educational needs relating to areas of responsibility.
  • Understanding relevant legal frameworks.
Qualifications:

Graduate level qualification in Education, Social Work, Health-related field, or Psychology, and/or NVQ Level 4 Advice & Guidance, and/or NVQ L&D, Support Services for Children.

Estimated salary: £25,000 - £29,000 per annum, depending on experience.
