About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Finance Assistant to join our Oncology Finance team. As a key member of the Purchase to Pay (P2P) team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our research scientists with suppliers. Your responsibilities will include processing invoices, coding requisitions, and ensuring compliance with VAT regulations. You will also be responsible for liaising with stakeholders, validating goods and services, and providing guidance to ensure smooth financial operations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, with proven experience in financial administration. Familiarity with computer-based accountancy systems is essential, as is a strong ability to work with numbers. Your high numeracy skills will be complemented by exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed correctly. You will also demonstrate excellent team-working abilities, thriving in a collaborative environment while being capable of handling routine matters with minimal supervision.
