Join Our Team as an Assistant Restaurant Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at The Newt in Somerset. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of nine to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

About the Role
  • Lead a team of nine to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of presentation and service.
  • Work closely with the back-of-house team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Support the Restaurant Manager with recruitment, training, and development of the front-of-house team.
  • Uphold standards of both the restaurant and the team, ensuring consistency and quality in all aspects of service.
  • Support the Restaurant Manager with rota and holiday planning, controlling labor costs and staffing levels.
  • Support the Restaurant Manager with stock control and costs.

Requirements
  • At least 1 year's experience in a similar restaurant at team leader level or higher.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build relationships with our guests.
  • Confident when training and developing team members.
  • Good understanding of computer skills.
  • Fantastic attention to detail.
