Assistant Site Manager Job Description

Our client, a leading housing developer, is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a flagship traditional build scheme in Ely, Cambridgeshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to work on a multi-phased scheme with over 150 units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Site Manager in overseeing the construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Coordinate and manage external and internal packages, including inductions and toolbox talks.
  • Work closely with the construction team to ensure smooth project delivery, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Organize and manage sub-contractors, trades staff, and labor, ensuring they are working in line with the project program and targets.
  • Conduct NHBC stage inspections and snagging/re-snagging activities to ensure the development meets the required standards.
  • Provide clear direction and guidance to the on-site construction team, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and targets.
  • Ensure the development is completed in accordance with the specification and build program, driving quality at every stage of the construction process.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and procedures.
