SEM Learning Support Assistant Vacancy

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. This role offers a competitive daily rate of £83-£100, paid term-time only.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide vital support to students with specific needs, including those with SEMH, EAL, SEN, and speech difficulties. They will work closely with teachers to plan and deliver teaching activities, establishing and maintaining good relationships with internal colleagues and external contacts.

We require someone with a strong understanding of statutory requirements, particularly in regards to safeguarding children, equal opportunities, discrimination, health and safety, and SEN. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have complex needs and be able to motivate and encourage students to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Support students with their learning and behaviour.
  • Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver teaching activities.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with internal colleagues and external contacts.
Key Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A strong understanding of the needs of students with SEMH.
  • Effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Experience of working with children who have complex needs.
