Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Bupa. As a Theatre Practitioner - Scrub Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating theatres, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and positioning of patients for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Participate in the maintenance of a clean and safe operating theatre environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all patients receive high-quality care and attention throughout their perioperative journey.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • 1st level registration as a nurse or operating department practitioner (ODP) with a relevant qualification in healthcare studies.
  • Previous experience in a perioperative setting, preferably in a theatre or surgical environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work varied shifts and respond to changing priorities.
