We are seeking a Theatre Surgical Practitioner to become a vital member of our Theatres at London Bridge Hospital, which has been recognized as 'Outstanding' by the CQC. Our operating theatres provide a dynamic, stimulating, and professional atmosphere, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and equipment.
The London Bridge Hospital Campus features 10 Operating theatres, offering a diverse array of specialties including Cardiac, Orthopaedics, Liver, Neurosurgery, Urology, Spinal, and General Surgery. Successful applicants will join a large team of skilled theatre professionals. As a key member of our theatre team, you will report directly to the Theatre Manager and oversee a group of Anaesthetic practitioners, collaborating closely with scrub and recovery staff. A solid background and expertise in operating theatres, along with a comprehensive understanding of patients' perioperative needs and peri-operative nursing practices, are essential. You should possess strong organizational abilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and experience in supervising a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of patient care across a varied caseload.
What we value:
Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner (SCP) with experience in Robotics (Da Vinci) is required. Registration as a healthcare professional (e.g., nurse or ODP) with a relevant honours degree. Recent theatre nursing experience is essential. A minimum of 18 months in a similar autonomous role is preferred. A strong aptitude for clinical and operative practice. The capability to effectively manage the clinical area on a daily basis and plan for future needs.Why choose HCA UK?
