We are seeking a Theatre Surgical Practitioner to become a vital member of our surgical team at London Bridge Hospital, recognized for its 'Outstanding' rating by the CQC. Our operating theatres offer a dynamic and professional atmosphere, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and equipment.

The London Bridge Hospital Campus features 10 operating theatres, covering a diverse range of specialties including Cardiac, Orthopaedic, Liver, Neurology, Urology, Spinal, and General Surgery. Successful applicants will join a large team of skilled professionals dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. As a key member of the theatre team, you will report to the Theatre Manager and lead a group of Anaesthetic practitioners, collaborating closely with scrub and recovery staff. A strong background in operating theatres, along with a comprehensive understanding of the perioperative needs of patients and peri-operative nursing practices, is essential. You should possess excellent organizational skills, interpersonal abilities, and experience in supervising a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care across a varied caseload.

What we expect from you:

  • Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner (SCP) with experience in Robotics (Da Vinci) is essential.
  • Registration as a healthcare professional (e.g., nurse or ODP) with a relevant honours degree.
  • Recent experience in theatre nursing is required.
  • A minimum of 18 months in a similar autonomous role is preferred.
  • Strong aptitude for clinical and operative practice.
  • Ability to effectively manage the clinical area on a daily basis and plan for future needs.
