About the JobThis is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant at Rush Hall Care Home. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving delicious meals to our residents, as well as maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and serve meals to our residents.
- Handle and store food in accordance with Food Hygiene regulations.
- Talk to residents to ensure that the food has been prepared well and they like it.
- Order food and kitchen equipment.
- Take delivery of food.
- Ensure that food is used before expiry date.
- Maintain and adhere to cleaning rotas.
- Perform any other duties specified by the Chef to assist in ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly.
- Basic knowledge of Catering & Food Hygiene Regulations.
- Basic knowledge on operation of kitchen equipment.
- Previous experience in Catering (preferable in a Care Setting desirable but not essential).
- A competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
- Free uniform.
- Four weekly pay.
