We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DBT Lead Specialist to join our team at East London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our CAMHS team, you will be responsible for providing inspirational operational and clinical leadership to disciplinary clinicians, ensuring young people experiencing serious mental illness have access to evidence-based assessments and treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational and clinical leadership to disciplinary clinicians, ensuring high-quality care and treatment for young people with complex mental health needs.
- Support the development of Service and Trust strategy, contributing to the delivery of CAMHS priorities and objectives through effective operational management.
- Establish and maintain strong links with other relevant services across the localities, representing the service on multiagency groups and communicating complex information.
- Ensure the team has a strong and effective multidisciplinary management model, promoting collaboration and best practice.
- Qualified Clinical Psychologist or Registered Nurse with experience in specialist psychological assessment and treatment.
- Post-qualification training in clinical supervision and DBT.
- Experience of working with complex mental health problems, including moderate to severe personality disorder and self-harm.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, carers, and professional colleagues.
- Well-developed knowledge of relevant legislation and its implications for clinical practice.
- Post-doctoral training in additional specialized areas of psychological practice.
- Experience in neuropsychological assessment.
- Delivery of DBT in a clinical setting.
- Experience of teaching, training, and/or supervision.
