MARS Recruitment is partnering with a leading manufacturer of scientific instrumentation to find a Head of Engineering (NPD | Mechanical) to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to take on a leadership role and contribute to the company's growth and success.

About the Role

The Head of Engineering (NPD | Mechanical) will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians in the design, development, and production of new products. This will involve managing projects from concept to delivery, ensuring that products meet the required quality and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians in the design, development, and production of new products
  • Manage projects from concept to delivery, ensuring that products meet the required quality and performance standards
  • Develop and implement engineering processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet customer requirements
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
