We are seeking a skilled Motor Engineering Claims Auditor to join our team at Hastings Direct. As a Motor Engineering Claims Auditor, you will be responsible for developing a complete understanding of all internal and supplier engineering processes, new commercial initiatives, best practice, and the impact of inefficient processes, reviews, or outcomes on customer journey, leakage, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Retain an up-to-date technical knowledge with new motor repair regulations and policies.
  • Design and develop relevant, effective audit approaches and capture mechanisms which are flexible to accommodate our changing business needs and allow to capture, monitor, and measure performance.
  • Manage relationships with senior personnel and effectively communicate across Engineer Teams, commercial teams, operational leaderships to ensure scoping, attendance, and feedback is all delivered effectively.
  • Complete and manage on-site and remote risk-based audits when necessary, with the ability to interpret and apply technical knowledge to contract builds and terms to develop audit questions.
  • Provide recommendations on areas for development and improvement, this could be savings, better contract adherence, KPI/SLA adherence, and impact on customer journey and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Strong technical knowledge and proven experience within the motor industry with either vehicle bodywork or mechanical knowledge (Audatex and Glassmatix estimating systems knowledge beneficial).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret MI and identify areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with a proactive approach to work.
