About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Motor Claims Engineer to join our team at Hastings Direct. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for reviewing and investigating vehicle damage repair estimates, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and investigating vehicle damage repair estimates to ensure accuracy and fairness
  • Collaborating with external engineering assessors to ensure that our customers receive the best possible service
  • Supporting the growth and development of our engineering capability through continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on vehicle damage repair and claims processes
  • Ensuring that all claims are handled in a timely and efficient manner, with a focus on customer satisfaction and commercial outcomes

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the motor industry, with a strong understanding of vehicle damage repair and claims processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
