About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Specialist in Haematology/Oncology to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) and other medical treatments on the Amberley Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients receiving SACT and other medical treatments
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote understanding and adherence to treatment plans
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to SACT and other medical treatments

Person Specification

  • Current registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience in haematology/oncology nursing, preferably in a SACT setting
  • Knowledge of SACT administration and management
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
