Leaving Care Personal Advisor - Job Overview

4Recruitment Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Leaving Care Personal Advisor to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people in transition.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children and young people preparing to leave care or who have left care, providing direct support and guidance.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies and colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality services, including Pathway Plans and Risk Assessments.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized plans to support care leavers in securing and maintaining suitable accommodation.
  • Provide practical support, including budgeting, benefit claims, and utility payments, to ensure the stability and well-being of our clients.
  • Attend and contribute to Looked After Children reviews, CAF/CIN meetings, and other relevant discussions to ensure the best interests of our clients are represented.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of work, ensuring compliance with regulations and organizational standards.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, responding to crisis situations and providing support to young people in need.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid UK Driving Licence, have access to a vehicle, and business insurance.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the challenges faced by young people transitioning to adulthood.
  • Have knowledge of the Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 and related legislation.
  • Be aware of Safeguarding issues and best practices.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hold Enhanced Child and Adult DBS clearance registered to the update service.
