Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist to join our Psychology team at Cygnet Heathers and Meadow Mews. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist psychological assessments, individual and group therapy, and contribute to the development of risk assessments and care plans.



Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop risk assessments and care plans that cater to the unique needs of our clients.
  • Conduct specialist psychological assessments, interpretation of psychological tests, semi-structured interviews, and individual/group therapy sessions.
  • Provide consultation on the psychological care of clients to staff, families, and other agencies, ensuring seamless coordination of services.
  • Prioritize the assessment and management of risks associated with client behavior, such as physical and verbal aggression, substance misuse, and self-harm.
  • Participate in audit, policy, and service development initiatives, contributing your expertise to enhance the quality of care provided.
  • Supervise Assistant Psychologists, promoting their growth and development within the organization.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:



  • A strong background in clinical forensic or mental health psychology, with HCPC registration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing competing demands.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality care, coupled with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • An understanding of the complexities associated with working with clients who present with challenging behaviors.
