We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Compass. As a Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based early interventions for children and young people across both educational settings and the community.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the services we provide with children, young people, families, and educational settings, and to develop your career in mental health support to children, young people, and families.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Mental Health Practitioner with experience of working with children and young people's mental health and emotional wellbeing services. You will have a strong understanding of the principles and practice of CBT and clinical supervision, and be able to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people across both educational settings and the community
  • Work closely with children, young people, and their families to develop and implement mental health plans
  • Provide practice supervision and support to colleagues
  • Conduct mental health assessments and provide specialist care directly to children and young people and families
  • Network with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and service delivery

Person Specification

  • Qualified Mental Health Practitioner with experience of working with children and young people's mental health and emotional wellbeing services
  • Strong understanding of the principles and practice of CBT and clinical supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families
  • Full enhanced and current satisfactory DBS disclosure for the role
