About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Practitioner to join our Mental Health Support Team in Central and West Lancashire. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality supervision and support to our team members, ensuring they have the skills and confidence to provide effective interventions for children and young people.
  • Work closely with educational settings and community partners to develop and implement effective mental health support plans.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of our service, ensuring we are meeting the needs of children and young people in our area.
  • Support the development of our team members, including those new to the role, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as mental health nursing, occupational therapy, or social work.
  • Experience of working therapeutically with children and young people, ideally in a community or educational setting.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, including experience of supervising and supporting team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, families, and professionals.
