Mental Health Practitioner for Children and Young People

About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Compass, working with children and young people in educational settings and the community.
This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.
As a successful candidate, you will have a core MHP qualification relevant to mental health, alongside postgraduate experience working with children and young people, and an understanding of the principles and practice of CBT and clinical supervision.
You will be knowledgeable and experienced in working with CYP with mental health needs, completing mental health assessments, providing practice supervision and support, and providing specialist care directly to children and young people and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people in educational settings and the community
- Work with children and young people, their families, and other agencies to provide specialist care and support
- Conduct mental health assessments and provide practice supervision and support
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the needs of children and young people
Person Specification
- Qualified Mental Health Practitioner with a core MHP qualification relevant to mental health
- Postgraduate experience working with children and young people
- Understanding of the principles and practice of CBT and clinical supervision
- Knowledgeable and experienced in working with CYP with mental health needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to travel to meet the requirements of the post
