Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in Northumberland Primary Care Network. The successful candidate will work autonomously within GP practices, offering mental health consultation, assessment, and onward referrals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide initial mental health consultations and assessments
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Work collaboratively with GP practice teams
  • Participate in regular supervision and peer support
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the development of innovative mental health services in primary care. As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will work closely with the NPC Northumberland PCN team to establish a multi-agency approach to providing mental health care and treatment across the area.

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience of working in mental health services
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in evidence-based psychological therapies
  • Proven track record of post-registration training and clinical experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to delivering excellent patient care
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week. The salary for this role is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include access to ongoing training and development opportunities, regular supervision and peer support, and a supportive team environment.
